We are inviting you to take part in a promotion called the AT&T Classic BIRDIES FOR CHARITY® program. It centers around the PGA TOUR event set May 12 – May 18 at the Tournament Players Club Sugarloaf in Duluth. It doesn’t matter if you are a golfer or have never played the game. What matters is helping a local worthy cause and perhaps being rewarded for that gesture.
Did you know that the professional golfers playing in the AT&T Classic have made approximately 1,500 birdies every year for the past four years? Now you do! Guess the exact number of “birdies” the PGA TOUR players will make this year and you could win a 42” Plasma Television or other prizes such as a weekend golf package, golf equipment or golf merchandise.
The AT&T Classic and Atlanta Classic Foundation Charities, Inc. is giving our group, (insert name of group), the opportunity to generate funds from this promotion. We get to keep every cent we collect. You can benefit too! All you have to do is sign up on one of the pledge forms to become eligible to win a super prize.
The camp;oncept is simple. We are asking you to make a minimum pledge of one (1) penny per “birdie” made Wednesday through Sunday by the PGA TOUR players at the AT&T Classic. Of course, you can pledge more if you would like, or even make a flat contribution. Then you guess how many cumulative “birdies” (a score of one-under par on a hole) will be made this year.
After the tournament, you will be billed for the amount of your pledge written on the official pledge form. For example, if the PGA TOUR players make 1,500 “birdies” and your pledge is one (1) penny, you will be billed for $15. It’s that simple. Correctly guess the exact number of “birdies” made for the week and you could win a 42” Plasma Television. In case of ties, the winner will be chosen by a random drawing from among those who correctly guess the exact number of “birdies”.
